Problem: A large pharmaceutical company based in NJ was having trouble getting the temperature in their lab to the appropriate 50 degree level. This was causing multiple major problems for them:
1) The powders and solutions that were being used in the experiments were not remaining stable due to the humidity in the air and high temperature. 2) In order to keep the room as cool as possible, they were running the system at full strength at all times in an effort to try to cool the space. This wasted a lot of energy and therefore they were losing money. 3) The team who needed to do their work in the lab were suffocating in the higher temperature room as they were wearing protective gear. The Solution: TechClean did a thorough investigation of the building’s HVAC system and discovered that coils were being blocked by a heavy buildup of Biofilm.
TechClean cleaned out all of the Biofilm in the air chill cooler and used our patent pending Green Air Process to clean the coils so they would operate at their optimal levels.
The Result: One year after the procedures were concluded by TechClean, we took a measurement of the operation of the HVAC system year over year.
Assuming the system is in operation 24 hours/day, 365 days/year, usage was decreased by 29 KWH per hour. Based on current average KWH rates in New York and New Jersey of approximately 15.4 cents, we saved this client $39,069.60 in one year.
